LIGHTING The indoor gardening is limited mostly due by the lack of light.Without an adequate lighting , the plants cannot fully benefit from the other elements that we give them. That is an evident confirmation of the principle of the "limiting factor": even though all the other factors needed for the growth of the plant are available in abundance, a plant cannot grow faster or more vigorous than the less available factor allows it. Plants combine the energy from the light, the carbon dioxide, water and nutritive elements to form the chlorophyll and the carbonated hydrates. The most important colours of the spectrum to obtain a maximum production of chlorophyll and photosynthesis process are located in the range of the blues ( about 445nm) and the reds (about 650 nm) of the spectrum. |
