AEROPONICS Circulating air, meaning a constant renewal of the air, is the heart of all thriving gardens, because under the effect to the photosynthesis of the plants, the level of carbonic gas (CO2) in a closed in area decreases rapidly. CO2 is essential for the growth of the plant. Also, indoor pollution of the air is generally greater than the outdoor pollution. These factors will in fact be armful to the growth of the plants. Not only leaves use air but the roots also. So, for the roots to nourish itself properly, oxygen must be available as well as water and nutritive elements. If the soil is too compact or saturated with water, the roots do not have any more air and die by suffocation. Fresh air is easy to find and not expensive to get even in a closed in area. A fan would be the principal instrument to assure the presence of this essential element. |
